The transition to a digital society requires an appropriate strategy that will allow a faster development of digital literacy and, thus, greater competitiveness of the country as a whole. Ministry of Digital Transformation has prepared the Digital Slovenia Strategy, which is document of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in the field of the
digital transformation of Slovenia in the period up to 2030. The strategy covers the following priority areas: the gigabit infrastructure, digital competences and inclusion, digital transformation of the economy, the path to a Smart Society 5.0, digital public services and cyber security. Digital inclusion is the opportunity for individuals to access, trust, use competently and securely the available information and communication infrastructure and digital technologies. The digital transformation of the economy will ensure the transition to a green, creative and smart economy. Citizen- and business-centric digital public services will enable citizens and businesses to interact with public administrations in an integrated, coordinated, secure and efficient way. In the area of cybersecurity, Slovenia aims to be among the top 20 countries in the National Cybersecurity Index (NCSI) by 2027.
