The Function of the Manager in the Process of Organizing the Work in the Operating Room

The process organization of work in the operating room involves conducting procedures for patient management in such a way as to comply with the prescribed procedures and to ensure that all procedures carried out are documented to improve and enhance patient safety, as well as to improve and enhance clinical treatment outcomes. In the process organization, the operating room provides a safe and controlled environment for perioperative, intraoperative patient care and postoperative recovery. The paper applied a qualitative research approach, using the method of reasoned theory. The instrument of research is an unstructured interview. The sample included 3 managers with a college degree who work as chief nurse and chief operating room technician. The interview was conducted online by means of a survey. The results showed that the subjects considered that the process organization of work in the operating room focused on the patient, his/her safety, and on compliance with the prescribed rules for the improvement of the patient's health. They emphasize that changes are needed in the systemization of work and the education of nurses and operating room technicians. The aim of the research work is to show the process organization of work in the operating room. The purpose of the research work is to professionally examine the management, process organization of work, satisfaction with work organization, changes in the work process, strategy and systematization for the new process organization of work in the operating room and the way of educating health professionals.
