Abstract

The paper explores the level of employee job satisfaction and the determinants that contribute to it in an organization comprised of a company and its subsidiaries. The study consists of two parts: quantitative research based on a survey administered to all employees in the organisation, and qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews with six randomly selected employees, representing approximately one-third of the total workforce
of the organization. The results of the quantitative survey-based research show that employees are generally satisfied with their work in the organization and that the most important factors contributing to their satisfaction are good relations with their colleagues and a supportive management team. The qualitative interview-based research similarly reveals that employees really appreciate the company's efforts to foster a sense of community and build friendships through various activities, such as socializing over extended lunch breaks and teambuilding events.
