Employees as a Key Source for the Competitiveness of Modern Organizations
Abstract
The employees with knowledge and endeavours to achieve their goals, represent the key source for competitiveness of an organisation. A modern organisation develops the knowledge of its employees, has a dynamic approach, appoints work to the employees according to their skills, encourages teamwork and project work, and tries to incorporate the flattest hierarchy model as possible. Modern organisations are closely connected to the ever changing market which consequently results in
changing the organisations as well. An important quality of employees is their explicit and implicit knowledge, which is transferred, enriched, and creates a synergy of positive effects among the employees. The transfer of knowledge is thus necessary by all means. The empirical part represents our research to determine the most appropriate type of knowledge transfer among the employees. The focus of the research was to acquire employees‘ feedback on knowledge evaluation and transfer, on their willingness to share the knowledge, on the possibilities of transferring knowledge, and their enthusiasm for work. We determined that the employees are mostly willing to upgrade their knowledge to a great extent by transferring it to or receiving it from their co-workers. The most important knowledge transfer within the organisation is mainly the so-called silent knowledge, which mostly applies to knowing how to work or act in changed conditions.
