Analysis of Values within an Organisation
Keywords:

Some authors claim that organisational values represent the core component of corporate culture embedded into the business operations of each company. Values play a significant part in each organisation since they guide its behaviour and influence its attitude towards itself and individuals. Organisational values are closely associated with personal values because they originate from the latter, and are subjected to continuous development and transformation. This makes one wonder why some organisations are overflowing with creative power, while others are constantly struggling with problems. The purpose of this article is to analyse and compare the values within three different types of organisations and determine the differences between organisational and personal values. The aim of our research is to study the values, identify them in organisations within the selected lines of business, and compare them with personal values. The research was focused on four possible categories according to the types of values within an organisation, namely, if the company is more oriented towards relationships, changes, assignments, or the preservation of the status quo. We expect that the findings will confirm the differences between organisational values within the selected manufacturing, service and trading companies, and the differences between personal values according to the type of company the person is employed at.
