Mentoring in the Education of Physiotherapy Students

The main functions of education are to promote human dignity and freedom and to develop critical thought. Universities are expected to be the primary defenders of freedom and to develop knowledge and transmit it to society. The connections between different situations and between learning and education in the local or working environment are crucial. The Faculty of Health Sciences at
the University of Novo mesto is focused on providing effective and high-quality knowledge transfer, enabling students to act independently and responsibly, develop critical judgement, accuracy and conscientiousness, while fostering creativity, innovation and the willingness for lifelong learning. The faculty has nine accredited study programmes at all three study cycles, making it a centre of knowledge in the field of health sciences.
